Marijn ten Thij

Assistant Professor at – Department of Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence – at Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (NL). Previously worked as an assistant professor at Department of Advanced Computing Sciences, Maastricht University. Before that Marijn worked as a postdoc at DIAM (Delft University of Technology), working with Prof. Roy Lindelauf (NLDA), Prof. Robbert Fokkink (TUD) and Prof. Arnout van de Rijt (EUI), and CSBC (Indiana University Bloomington, USA), working with Prof. Johan L. Bollen. Obtained a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam under supervision of Prof. Sandjai Bhulai, a Master in Applied Mathematics (Chair: Stochastic Operations Research) at the University of Twente and a Bachelor in Applied Mathematics at the University of Twente.

My main interests involve the usage of Mathematical Modelling to study and mimic Human Behavior through data obtained from online sources (e.g., social media).
